Ceramic Coating?

Ceramic coating — also known as nano-ceramic coating — is a liquid polymer that chemically bonds with your vehicle's factory paint on a molecular level. Unlike traditional wax or sealant, it doesn't sit on top of the surface: it becomes part of it.

The result is a semi-permanent protective shell that is incredibly resistant to UV radiation, chemical etching, water spots, bird dropping damage, and everyday environmental contamination. The coating creates a hydrophobic surface so extreme that water beads and rolls off at the slightest angle, carrying dirt with it.

Beyond protection, ceramic coating amplifies the depth and gloss of your vehicle's paint far beyond what any wax could achieve. Owners describe it as a "wet look" that simply doesn't fade. For drivers who take pride in their vehicle's appearance, it is the single best investment they can make.

Durability depends on the package you choose. Our Silver package is rated for 1 year, the Gold package for 3 years, and the Obsidian package carries a lifetime warranty. These ratings assume proper maintenance — which means avoiding automated car washes with harsh brushes and washing with a pH-neutral soap. With care, many of our Gold package clients see full hydrophobic performance well beyond 3 years.
Ceramic coating significantly increases your paint's resistance to light scratches, swirl marks from improper washing, and surface marring. It has a hardness rating of 9H on the pencil hardness scale, which is harder than your vehicle's clear coat. However, it is not a substitute for Paint Protection Film (PPF) when it comes to rock chips or deeper scratches. For maximum protection, many clients choose PPF on high-impact areas and ceramic coating over the rest of the vehicle.
In most cases, yes — and it's important to understand why. Ceramic coating is essentially transparent, so it will lock in whatever condition your paint is in at the time of application. If your paint has swirl marks or scratches, the coating will preserve them permanently. Our Gold and Obsidian packages include paint correction as part of the process. For the Silver package, we perform a single-stage enhancement, which addresses light surface defects. We'll assess your paint and recommend the right approach during your consultation.
We recommend a two-bucket hand wash method using a pH-neutral car shampoo. Avoid automatic car washes with brushes — the abrasion can diminish the coating's performance over time. Touchless automatic washes are acceptable in a pinch. We provide every client with a full aftercare guide and recommend a maintenance wash with a silica spray booster every 6 months to keep the coating performing at its best. All Obsidian clients receive a complimentary annual maintenance wash.
Depending on the package selected, the application process typically takes 1–5 days. The Silver package (with basic enhancement) takes approximately 1–2 days. The Gold package, which includes a two-stage paint correction, typically runs 2–3 days. The Obsidian package is a full 3–5 day process. After application, the coating requires a 24-hour cure period before the vehicle should be driven, and a full 7-day cure before exposure to rain or washing. We'll coordinate a drop-off schedule that works for you.
